Ueno Sakuragi Atari

Just 10 minutes' walk from popular tourist spot Ueno Park, there is a new spot reminding us of good & old days of Tokyo. Ueno Sakuragi Atari, which literally means "Somewhere Around Ueno Sakuragi," is a place consisting of three renovated old Japanese-style houses built in 1938.

The three are carefully renovated to retain the atmosphere of that era, and are divided into several shops & community spaces such as Yanaka Beer Hall, Kayaba Bakery, and Your Zashiki. Their concept is quite simple: making a space for locals and visitors, of cource including ones from overseas, young and old to discover and enjoy a different pace of life.
